Sweep in Peace was a tense and twisty read! Coerced into being the meeting location of a treaty talk between three extremely volatile alien races, Dina is in over her head with trying to maintain a safe inn for all her guests--especially when they all want to kill each other.

I was nervous about continuing this series because Clean Sweep was a tad disappointing for what I had come to expect from Ilona Andrews, i.e. perfection. Book one in this Innkeeper series was a bit lackluster for me, but I am so glad I gave Sweep In Peace a shot! It felt much more in line with the caliber of storytelling Ilona Andrews write. A faster, more substantial plot and better character depth! Not to mention the cameos or characters from The Edge series...I was so happy to see what had become of my beloved edgers!

I don’t do a lot of sci-fi, but I have no intentions of stopping now. While there is a space-opera feel to this story, there is also a more familiar presence of classic Urban Fantasy with magic and such.

On to book three....
